Clean Up on the Causeway Coast

Coastal Cleanup Day is dedicated to the improvement of beaches, coastal regions and surrounding areas throughout the world. Why not join us on Saturday 20th September at 10:30am at Ballintoy Harbour as we pull on our wellies and scour the sand to help clear up the harbour?

There is an opportunity to go coasteering after this event but places are limited to 13 and it must be pre booked. If you would like to pre book to go coasteering after the beach clean please visit

This free event is hosted by the Causeway Coast & Glens Heritage Trust with support from Moyle District Council, Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful and Causeway Coasteering.

Directions to Location

From Coleraine:

-Exit the Ballycastle Road Roundabout onto Ring Road/A29

-At Bushmills Road Roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Cloyfin Rd

-Turn right onto Ballybogy Rd/B62

-Take the 1st left onto Priestland Rd

-Turn right onto A2

-At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Whitepark Rd/A2 (Continue to follow Whitepark Road)

-Turn left onto Harbour Rd

From Ballycastle:

-Travel on the B15/ Whitepark Road for approx 5 miles until you enter Ballintoy Village.

-Drive through the village and take the first road on your right signposted "Ballintoy Harbour" continue along this narrow road until you come to the harbour and car park.
