Lough Shannagh Irish Heritage Walk

Join us on this guided walk exploring the abundance of local flora and fauna that this spectacular trail to Lough Shannagh has to offer.

Situated in the heart of the Mournes, an area of outstanding natural beauty, the trail will encompass many beautiful sights as the walk leaders share their Irish heritage with you.

A fantastic opportunity to soak up the culture of the area as the Irish language is learned and shared, with a few stories told along the way. Basic Gaelic words and phrases will be prepared for those participating on the walk. As you begin the walk back, the guides will have you singing your way along the trail with Irish music being provided on return (weather permitting). The walk will be led by an Irish language teacher and also someone who has an interest in singing and music so there should be some songs along the way.

Afternoon tea will be available after the walk for those who wish to return to the centre.
